The Wuppertal Institute researches and develops guiding principles, strategies and instruments for transitioning to sustainable development at regional, national and international levels. The focus is on how resources, climate and energy challenges interact with the economy and society. A main area of the research is the analysis and indexing of innovations designed to reduce our use of nature and improve wellbeing. In particular, the Wuppertal Institute supports transformation processes in the circular economy in Belarus, Serbia and Vietnam.
